Somebody must know this. Mikeinva knows these engines inside out and I hope he reads this thread.
In the meantime we'll try and keep the thread visible by "bumping" it for a couple of days...

Not intirely sure but this looks like the pushrod that sits inside the clutch cover. It pushes against the seat to disengaging the clutch. What kurtisf is saying is the new longer one will disengage the clutch deeper eliminating the chatter. Maybe someone can relate to this. Maybe I've got it wrong? I don't know.
