sidecars on Bonnies
If I were to consider attaching a Velorex 562 sidecar to a Bonnie, would anyone have experience with this? Do I need a subframe?
Any known clearance or adjustment problems?
Thanks, Todd

it's probably a bad idea to have your full email address as your handle on internet forums.

What sort of Bonnie are you talking about? I'm guessing from your title you are talking about an older meriden maybe? In which case I'll move your thread into a better forum for you. If you are talking about a Hinckley Bonnie (2001 onwards) this is defintely the right place!

sidecars
Yes, I do mean a 2001+ Bonnie. I already have had it on my old bike. But I've decided that the kickstart lever has an unsolvable clearance problem. The solution is to put the rig on a Triumph that doesn't have one!
Thanks, Todd

I know that oregonthruxton has a sidecar on his bike - do a search and you should find some pictures, that may give you an idea.

You might also want to talk with Doug Bingham at SideStrider.

Doug has a Triumph TBS with a Velorex 565 fitted.

Hi Todd,
A friend of ours in OH has a sidecar on his Hinkley Bonneville. Prior to that it was on his Meriden Bonnie (I don't remember what year bonnies they were). We're currently in the process of looking for a TBS or newer Bonnie to fit a sidecar to as well.
As I understand it you will need some sort of sub frame. I'll see if I can reach our friend in OH & get the specifics.
Nina
