Scrambler lowering

Does anyone know what the shortest available rear shocks are for a scrambler?
What is the process for shortening up the front forks? New springs?
thanks

I can't speak about the shortest shocks available, but it's probably along the lines of "Let your conscience be your guide." I would check out Dave Quinn (google it) and talk it over with him. As for the front, just loosen the triple clamp bolts and slip the fork tubes up. Good luck with the geometry, and, as always, all things in moderation.

You should write the guy over on the technical talk area who has a thread going on how to raise his bonny to scrambler height...maybe you two could trade shocks?

The lowered Progressive fork springs for Bonnevilles also fit Scramblers. Check out British Customs.

The rear shocks are a straight swop for regular Bonneville shocks which are shorter. I'd sit on a Bonneville to see if the height was O K before looking for specialist shocks, might save you a few $$$. The other guys have you in the right direction re the front end.
