America battery problem

Hi

I know that a lot problems with battery are because users dont care about them in winter time, but i am useing optimate 3 charger once per week, and still have problem with battery.Have been chargeing 4 days ago , didnt ride from this time and i cant start my bike today . i have datatool alarm + snitcher working all the time. This is orginal battery and have a year. temp at night drop down to -4, -5 . Am i haveing bad battery , or this is normal for winter time?

You could indeed have a bad battery, if you are tending the battery it should keep it topped up OK. When you say -5, is that °C or °F, low temps will certainly affect battery performance (especially -5F).

The two threads below will give you some clues on testing your battery to see if it is OK. If it is drained, the tender is unlikely to be able to give it the "boost" it needs to get recharged.

Many thanks for reply!

I means -5 °C but on one night was -10 °C .
4 days ago i have connect optimate and have been waiting to time when green led (maintance) will light up and then disconnect.
Is arming and disarming alarm drain a lot of power?

today after 2 hours with optimate bike have start without a problem.

About testing : i think i will take bike to my dealer to check this.

It sounds like you're OK - arming and disarming the alarm doesn't drain much power. If your bike started OK today the battery probably just needed a decent charge, but it's a good idea to have your dealer do the electrical checks for peace of mind.
