Hi,
So got on my 2004 Thruxton yesterday, and all of a sudden noticed that none of my turn signals (front or back) are working, no flashing green indicator light either. All other lights work perfectly. Any ideas - where do I start? Cheers, Neil.

Have you checked the fuses yet? Probably a good place to start.

Rain is the operative word. Remove the flasher, it's the center unit of the three electrical widgets under the left side cover. Let it and the connectors thoroughly dry, maybe hit them with a hairdryer on low. Then grease up the connectors, put it all together, and re-install and orient it to minimize moisture ingress. If the rubber mount is deteriorating, leave it in place but secure the whole business to the mounting bracket with a cable tie.

If it still doesn't work, try replacing the flasher. You don't need the overpriced Triumph part, but I don't know which generic replacement it is, maybe someone else can chime in with that information, or the auto parts store guys might be able to cross-match it from the original.

So I took the left cover off - and found 2 small black boxesapprox. 1.5 inches cubed - I was danging down, open both, the left one shut down the head light, etc. plugged that back in and front lights work fine (still no turn signals), opened and cleaned and replace right box, (still no rear turn signals) AND now no rear tail light or rear brake light - :(

You've either blown a fuse or disturbed an iffy connector, which would need drying, cleaning, and greasing with dielectric grease (from the auto parts store). I'm not sure if there are any connectors in that area, other than the obvious ones to the relays.

Start by checking the fuses again, it could be fuse 7 or 10 according to my Hanes manual.

Turn the ignition off when you make or release connections, you'll be less likely to blow a fuse.
