Call your local dealers and get an OTD (out-the-door) price. If the dealer doesn't quote that way call another dealer. I found the honest dealers will quote OTD over the phone.

You'll see you can get a new bike for the same price. If he's saying it's a 10K bike then he got ripped from the dealer, but you don't have to, just do your homework first.

Yeah for that $$ Id look new! As said- break it in yourself! If he wanted to take the hit, thwen maybe? Sounds like he got "hit" by the dealer & got cold feet? Low ball him w/ a cash offer & see if he calls ya back? If so- cool! If not- a new bike is you know EVERYTHING tgat has ever been done to the bike.I have everything ever done to my bike writen on the garage wall we all share. HD bud next to- the same. I guess if we ever give up the lease to the garage- we will be takin the wall with?

Leave him your number and tell him to call you if he gets serious and then keep shopping. Don,t pay for his mistake.

I'm with the majority on this one. The guys a tool if he thinks you should pay delivery and set-up fee's on a "used" bike. Buy a new Pontiac and try and sell it a month later and see how you fair on recouping your dealer fee's.
Offer him $6,500 and let him squirm.
