Speedmaster, how many miles per tank ?

I have had my Speedmaster for over 2 years, and never been on to reserve , I always fill up after 125miles-ish, Can anyone tell me how many miles-ish before I would go onto reserve ? I have the air injection removed.
Also, have just seen a backrest for rider seat on ebay, its a home made affair, with a bought pad, But is for an America. Anyone know where I could get one for the speedmaster single seat ? Thanks in advance

Got 150 once. It took 3.2 to gallons to fill it so it must have been right on the edge

Thumbs up Thanks

Many thanks ! I'm at 135 miles at the mo, so just a waiting game , i'm only riding around the town, till I hit reserve!! I dont like the idea of going on to Reserve!! But its handy to know, just what your limits are! Dont think I'll bother finding out how many I can do on reserve !!

My last tank got me 152 miles to reserve. I fill it up on the stand so get about 13 litres in. A lot depends on your right hand and your riding style.

Is the SM tank smaller than on the America?

Been as far as 196 miles on a tank and have never used the reserve.

The tank sizes are the same for each model but not each year. The new (08) tanks are bigger by a few litres, hence your extra mileage.

I'm consistently hitting right around 125 when I need to switch to reserve.....
I ride mostly stop and go local with a chance here and there to open it up
