And well you should. I love my Speedy.
I am always amazed at the people who bash what they are not riding. You bought that Bonnie because it sang to you. That Speedy called me across the showroom floor and I don't look back.
It's nice to hear positives!

Yer preachin' to the choir!
Because I feel the same way.
BTW it's been brutally hot and humid here along the Big Muddy, so I haven't gotten in many long rides lately. Still, we had a big storm this morning and the afternoon was bearable. So I took the Bonnie and my wife to a local outdoor restaurant. Not a long ride, just a nice one!

I love my Bonnie too. My g/f and I took a nice ride yesterday evening and I was thinking to myself how enjoyable it is. Living on the shore of Lake Erie makes for some really nice sunset rides just outside our front door.

If owning a bike is like a love affair, then in my case the honeymoon period is over and my bride is starting to fart & belch in front of me.
I still love being on top of her but sometimes lately she grosses me out.

As long as she doesn't take a dump on you, then the relationship is still OK. Get your girl's carbs synced and she might start minding her manners better.

Preface: I love riding my bike. I am going to keep her. But I've recently had some things that soured the relationship. It started with the leaky cam cover gasket, which I expected. Most recently was the dead battery after only 6 months and 4,500 miles from the showroom. While changing the battery I found a lot of rust and dry rotted rubber. Ugh. Adding insult to injury, the dealership has a 5+ week waiting period for any kind of service.
I'd still rather have my Bonnie than a Sportster any day, though.

Can't say I blame you -- but imagine the joy you'd feel if you had a real bike... say for instance a 2008 Thruxton? Now THAT'S a bike.
Just kidding.
