First post since buying my Scram. So far haven't had a question about it that I couldn't find by searching. Makes it hard to get the post count up so here's some pics.





Pretty much stock with a couple bolt on bits when I got it. Changing that already.

I have been over on the Sprint threads for quite some time. I have an 04 ST. Absolutely love it. However I have always wanted a Bonnie. Whenever there were demo rides, I would hop on a Thruxton and get transported back in time. Now, lets go back to this past spring, back to the Ozark Mountains RAT Raid. There they had a gorgeous 03 Bonneville that they were going to raffle. The Francis Family has hosted the Ozark Raid for the past couple years. I got to know them from hosting the Dragon Raid. Really a super family. And I know what it takes to host an event like this. I support them each year by donating door prizes. Along with the donations I bought $100 in raffle tickets to help cover their expenses. Some of you that know me, already know the outcome of this. Yes, I actually won the Bonnie. To this day, I am still in shock. I am one of those people that never catch a break. In fact, during the Raid I ended up with a kidney stone. I only got to ride twice. Once to the hospital and once to the ATM to get money for raffle tickets. So to have John Francis call my name... Total disbelief.
This summer I did not get to ride as much as I would have liked. But the past 2 months, I have been on the Bonnie as much as I can. I absolutely love this bike. Here she is the night of the raffle.




Recently I have made some alterations to her. I cut the overly long rear fender..


And added Super Bars, Napoleon mirrors....


Stainless Ride exhaust(of course re-jet), Lucas Style Tail light, Bullet marker/turn signals, LED idiot bulbs, Stainless carb screws and intake clamps, crankcase oil temp gauge, and headlight visor.


There are a few more items I would like to change yet. All in good time...

Was on the T509 site back in '97 (wish I never sold that) and now new on-board the Twin section having picked up a '06 Bonnie this past summer with only 45 miles on the clock. Yes, that's correct.

Had a '03 Guzzi V11 Sport that I loved but just could not get comfortable on so off it went.

LOVE the Triumph with the exception of needing more motor and I'm also trying to finish up a 1250 Sportster build which I'm sure will not suffer from the same affliction!

I'm 64 this year, arthritic, achy, grey and suffer the effects of many abuses from my earlier years, but I can still SMILE which is what bikes do for me plenty so it's party 'til the music stops, eh?
