That is right on!

I picked up one of these HCI's, these are cheap but am suprised at how well made it is, also fits better than any of my other helmets. Colors match my Scram perfectly.

That's awesome. Go speedracer is the first thought that came into my head. Nice choice.

Iceseven, that look really cool and a great match to the red/white scrambler... will have to look into that, although open face helmets look funny on me (must be mu large size noggin )

Texas, that is why I like this helmet so much, it doesn't have that large head look and is very lite.

A couple of years ago I was looking for a helmet just like Ring posted and ended up with a Fulmer open face and it is ok and the size large fits well, but looks like my head is grendel size, probably scare small children when I went by, so I am very happy with the HCI.

Kind of funny you mentioned Bell. I was on-line shopping helmets again and came across the Bell Star at Helmet Harbor which they ranked as one of the top 4 up there with the Shoei X11. Looks like Bell is attempting a come back and even have a couple of team riders for the 2008/09 AMA Supersport season.

My wife has the ZR1 Jimmy Retro

And they have one that will match the color of my Scrambler

I do like the face shield on Iceseven's over the ZR1's that stick out.

However, as for me though I like Bikebit's simply because I prefer a full face over open.

But if you are going to go all out with the modern retro look, including the name, then that Bell RT is the answer.

Phil read replica. Got it off *bay in March. Even with shipping it was way cheaper than list. Seemed perfect for a Brit bike.

Ice- I remember you posted a pic of that lid a few months ago,and it got me interested. It does match the colours of the Red & White Scram perfectly,at least in the pic. I just wondered what it looks like with the visor removed? I don't think that visor would work for me,I like to wear goggles(see my avatar) or my eyes dry out badly.

I've got an HCI helmet too,the "pudding basin" style(avatar again),and I'm amazed by the quality, especially for the price. It's definitely the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned. Almost zero wind buffeting, even at over The Ton. It's noisy as hell though.

I've also got a "jet" style helmet, like the Bell,or the Jimmy Retro, made by EXL.The thing I don't like about that type of helmet is that they really catch the air at higher speeds, and it's like wearing a parachute around your neck.

I thought maybe the slimmer profile of your HCI might eliminate some of this "parachute" effect. What are your thoughts?

Cheers!
Bruce
