Picked up my new T100 from the dealer yesterday, definately a she, decided to call her Sue, couldn't wait to get my leg over. Just hope she isn't as unreliable as the real Sue.

Its my bike..Its an "it." My wife and two daughters are "shes." My riding buddies are "hes." He or she for a bike is just plain creepy.

I always refer to my bike as female, as in "I'm going to take her out today", or "I need to change her oil".
Might be something Freudian or Psychological here, but I swear that's as far as it goes!
Must be some unresolved issues.. or maybe I was dropped as an infant? Perhaps my toys had been painted in China?

I don't know about "creepy", but I concur. I haven't named it either.

I refer to my bikes as "machines" typically - so more of an it. The only reason for this is becasue that's how some buddies and I used to talk about our bikes.
"That's a nice machine", "How is your machine running after the mods" that kind of thing.
I do refer to my Bonnie as "Bonnie" sometimes, because I occasionally put a seat cowl on it that has a Vargas pin up girl on it with a scripted "Bonnie" underneath.
Oh yeah, location. Minnesota sure yah you betcha.

As I've explained before these bikes are definitely female. Consider the facts that 1) they are very beautiful, 2) they cost you a lot of money, and 3) they are likely to go on costing you a lot of money. Now that has got to indicate a female.

Bike Gender
My Bonne has always been a she - because "she"is my true love!! As long as she keeps running & giving me as much fun as I have been having w/ her, she will always be a she. A "she that doesnt complain? Rare!! When "she starts to give me problems- she becomes an "It"! That hasnt happenned yet & hopefully never does! My girl & I had a wonderfull ride up[ the coast on sat! Except from getting "screwed" behind my back by a drywall (years ago) she has never given me ANY problems!! A hard featrure to find from ANY "she"!
I guess that explains it? Now go give your girl a pat on the seat!! (Unless she has been a bad girl?)

She's a she to me. I notice even if I like certain bikes I've owned, I may say "it's a really nice bike." But with the Bonnie, it's always "she's a really nice bike." Riding some bikes is like going places with one of your buddies. Traveling with the Bonneville is like traveling with a really sweet gal.
