Info wanted Please

Hello to All from Australia.I've just joined the forum.I'm a Triumph rider from long ago[1955Tiger110,1971Tiger,1976 Bonnie]returning to the road
My question is complex but maybe you folks can help.I'm going to buy a Speedmaster and I have the choice of 3.A /2005,790cc.6,000ks B/2005 865cc 13,000ks.C/2008 EFI with2500ks for $2000 more than the other two carb versions. Is the 865cc noticably more powerful/faster than the 790cc?I'm sort of leaning to the carb models and thenthe 790cc as it's had very little use.but any thoughts ,info, suggestions would be welcome.

which one/

It's on the bike shops web site.Black engine.Speedmaster seat.Looks like one.Could be wrong info.Says 790cc.
I've test ridden the 2005 865cc model and the EFI 2008 865cc model. But I was wondering about the performance of the 790cc v 865cc engine.
You're right .I just rang the shop and it's wrongly marked.It's an865cc

13000kms is just getting broken in.Don't worry about that.If they are close to the same price, just get whichever one is nicer. The 865 might be slightly more torquey, but the 790 reportedly responds to performance mods more readily.

Why don't you look around for a Bonnie,Thrux,or Scram? Way cooler than a cruzer.

Cheers!
Bruce

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.I found out they were both 865's one marked 790 by mistake.
I busted my leg in a smash in 1971,hit by a car on my brand new 1971 650 Triumph Tiger![which IMO was the worst bike Triumph ever made] so I need the forward controls but if not a Bonnie would be high on my list of possible buys.

'71 Bonnie

I never had anything to do with the bonnie back then but I'd say you're right two amals would be twice the pain.
