cultus lake

Hi there im a new bonnie owner and just wanted to share this with u guys.

summer came to vancouver bc at last with blistering heat, spent the weekend at a local lake, i decide to take the bonnie so the wife and kids could get there early friday and i would join them after work(my idea i want to take the bike on a bit of a run lol).

anyways drove up on the back roads had lots of fun going through the farm land we have around here, not the small twisty uk roads but still fun and loved it, drove for an hour plus, got to camp but still wanted more!!(addiction)

on the way home i was following the wife and of course she hit the hwy but i thought lets see what this bike can do and followed her all the way at 120kph and it was a bit of a suprise that the bike felt really good at this speed.

the point of this story is that i think the bonnie has all that you really need in a bike that is made for the streets, its got great pulling power off the lights, looks great, sound great(staintunes) and runs at a speed that wont get u speeding ticket everytime u go on a trip.

Im really drawn to sport bikes as i love the speed and power that these bikes have, but i think that that is my down fall, i like to push the limits, im now 36 and still dont have the self control to ride a liter bike safely, imo sport bikes are to fast for our roads no matter how well u ride, they need to be ridden fast and they feel great going fast. They will always make u push more than the roads can handle not you.

That is why i love my Bonnie she keeps me in check, Like my wife really!!

I'm glad you're enjoying your Bonnie.

I feel the same way really - the Bonnie has everything I need. I rarely take mine on freeway just because that tends to be boring riding, but if I have to I find it has no problem at cruising at high speed and keeping up with traffic.

Anyway, enjoy, and have fun on your bike and in this forum!
