After market centre stand

Hi, I decided to make my own centre stand for my 2006 Bonneville and to sell some here in the UK as well. I will not pay £150 from Triumph, I've attached some photos of the prototype stand for fellow members to look at. I made the stand, C bracket and the C bracket attachment bar to frame, then just purchased the centre stand rubber stop and spring from Triumph. The final stand will have a unique feature as it will be lockable when the stand is in use, so the bikes centre stand cannot be retracted, this will save those riders who carry heavy chains around with them to secure their bikes. In about a months time I will be offering to those here in the UK so if anybody is interested please contact me directly.

I like!
That centre stand looks very nicely engineered. If it will fit my T100 with TOGAS and the price is right you'll have a customer. Where abouts in Somerset are you? I'm in Charlton Mackrell [Nr Glastonbury]

Hi Superman, Lewilewi and Oldtrout,
Yes the protype stand has been in use for over six months with no issues, it is over engineered I must say. I am in the process of making five of which the first one is for myself. It is 20mm longer than standard as I've fitted thruxton rear shocks. I would have to make various adjustments to the foot lever to fit different silencers, this would only be possible if I had access to the bikes in question. As Oldtrout is local to me 10 miles away would you be interested in meeting to discuss this issue. p.s. I think I have met you before as I purchased a set of TORS silencers from a lady in Charlton Mackrell last year.

It looks very well made, and the locking feature is a nice touch. Nice job.

Looks like a nice job, A centre stand is basically a 'H' configoration made of steel and painted. If you can get the measurements it is not beyond the amateur fabricator to make one and save a lot of dosh [Money in the U.S]
