Colored Rims

I've seen lots of lovely chrome rims, and the occasional (and way cool) black ones, and even some cast spokers (you go, Sweat!!!). But not much in the line of color... and I'm contemplating a splash of color for the Black (you know, Springtime and all). So, with thanks to Ceolocanth for the starter image (and apologies to him for covering up that amazing orange), here's a few sloppy mockups of my ideas. Would love to hear feedback...

I like the red tank/black wheel combo best. Hot!

How about all flat black w/ pinstriping on the tank ( they sell some different types at lowbrow customs)

I am tempted to do the satin black hotrod look this summer, I am ready for a change. I am also tempted to do the frame a different color not sure though.

I like the red tank and black rims too. The green is not bad either.

I'd go with painting just the center of the rim matching the color of the tank. I've seen this and it's pretty good looking.

I think the colored rims make the bike look too japanese sportbikish...not that there's anything wrong with them. I vote for black rims. Wait, maybe some pics with a model in white leathers posing on the bike would help me better decide...

Good to see ya back BlueJ. Tell Bonnielass, Kylie says hello!
