Calling out Coastal & Central Texas Trumpet Riders
OK all you South Texas Triumph riders that have been wanting to get together for a ride, here it is. May 30th, Saturday we're going to meet up at Road Dogs place for a ride up Devil's Backbone. We'll gather around 9:30 and Phil will lead us on our own RAT ride[psst Phil get ready, here we come] Duckman and I are a definite, and I'm looking forward to seeing Whoa[Dave] Sweat[Jeff], Bert and a few of the new posters from around H-town present. This will be open for ALL Trumpet riders, so how about it, who's in? Details forth coming. Oh yeah Phil since we "hogged" you as the host, you're coming right?

My calender says May 30 is Friday... Maybe the 31st would be better? :
Not that I'm opposed to skipping work, mind you

I'll see what I can do. I had my monthly allotment of beer last night though. I went out with a little 23 y.o. hottie that works in the same building as I do
One of these days, these young girls are going to give me a heart attack, but what a way to go!

I'm a major flake, and I hate to commit to anything, but I'd like to make this, tentatively of course

I'm a shift worker and am schedualed to work graveyards that weekend.
I may or maynot be able to take off from work.
Are you taking the trailer and if so, can it hold a 3rd bike. That ride from Galveston to New Braunsfells is a killer on my azz and knees.
Where are we staying and when are we coming back
Right now Im running a 16 tooth counter and all though its a hoot and perfect for twisty hills my range has dropped to about 97 miles before hitting reserve...I bet standing on the throttle will give me about 85, oh wait. Phill rides like he's on a Harley, back to 97ish tank range.
I may be better to save my vaction time for the RAT rally in the hills instead of the Lone Star Rally.
Im going to be in San Antonio and @ the big timeshare on Canyon Lake with the war unit this weekend.

Saturday, May 31st... can do.
Now, assuming you'll be riding in on I-10, just tell me what time you should make it to Hwy 183, (just southeast of Luling) and I'll pick you guys up there. There's a giant convenience store there (I-10 & Hwy 183) called Buckee's that we can meet at. It has everything you could possibly want... food, drinks, clean restrooms, etc. We can head to San Marcos from there and designate a time and place on I-35 so anyone from the Austin area that wants to join us can meet us in there (in San Marcos).
So if you can plan the ride to Buckee's and give me an ETA, I can plan the rest of the ride and take over from there. Let me know if that all sounds good, and an estimated time to meet you fellas.
