Bert I was thinking of just a "day-tripper" sort of thing. Of course that ain't to say a room couldn't be rented for a two day affair neither. We could meet Dawg at Buckees around 9:30ish Sat., if he can drag his rump outa bed, sit and BS while waiting on everybody, but have a tentative pull out time from Buckees at 10:30. This way Duck, myself and any other coastal rider could leave early morning before the H-town cagers started haulin' a$$ towards Austin. Bert, I wasn't going to trailer since I'm off work and time and distance isn't an issue. Figured departure for home around 4 to 4:30 so we could get back home before dark. And if we have bike problems we'll just crash at Phil's all night road house. Of coarse things ain't set in stone yet. Don't know how long the Devil's ride is but I would like to hit it more than once if possible. At least once for sight seeing then once or twice for Whoa to be the rabbit.

Devil's Backbone

Devil's Backbone is real pretty ride: San Marcos - Wimberley - Blanco. But Wimberley a good 3 hours non stop from H-Town in cage. Had in-laws there and made drive many times.

Would have to be a sleep-over for me as that would be a good 8 - 9 hours riding in one day, figure in stops and return may end up being at night. May stay with my son in Austin Sat. nite and cruise back on Sunday.... Will try and make it.

OK so to get there at about 9:30, we would have to leave about 6ish. Houston people could meet me somewhere in Katy. Anyone who wants to meet in Katy, let me know and we can meet up somewhere about 6 and wait on stragglers till 6:30, pull out and meet SHRuuM wherever he wants and then all we have to do is follow the yellow brick road to Buckee's (or the Wizard's... whichever comes first ).

SHRuuM, I hope you know I'll have to forgo a couple of hours of beauty sleep for this

Now, assuming you'll be riding in on I-10, just tell me what time you should make it to Hwy 183, (just southeast of Luling) and I'll pick you guys up there. There's a giant convenience store there (I-10 & Hwy 183) called Buckee's that we can meet at. It has everything you could possibly want... food, drinks, clean restrooms, etc. We can head to San Marcos from there and designate a time and place on I-35 so anyone from the Austin area that wants to join us can meet us in there (in San Marcos).

So if you can plan the ride to Buckee's and give me an ETA, I can plan the rest of the ride and take over from there. Let me know if that all sounds good, and an estimated time to meet you fellas.
that plan sounds good!

Ya'll are killing me 'cause I can't go!!
I just burned 4 vacation days up there for (side) buisness reasons and I want to save some for the big RAT rally up there this year.

I can definetly say that buisness was great and affects my outlook for the rest of my life...without a doubt a big-bore kit of some sort and 42 Minkunis
are in the very near future!!:

Phill, !!!, did ya not get my phone call. I could of sworne I saw your black and red T-100 pulling out of Dasiy Dukes around 4:30 pm with another bike, maybe that was not you but for some reason, I bet it was.

You all ride safe.

PS
hope to add a New Busa or a pristien ZRX1200R to the stable soon.:
