Where are all the missing members? The guy from Denver that did all the photoshop stuff, Dazco, TBAgolfer, booze, etc. etc. I think all the old mods that ran em off are gone now, hehe.

I think that's a pretty harsh statement, and couldn't be further from the truth.

Hi, folks. I have had some serious health issues for over two months but am now definitely on the mend and will be back on the forums increasingly in the future, but not at the level of involvement that I was before. The docs prescribed "complete rest and avoidance of all stressful situations," so, among other things, I retired, again, from pastoring at the end of April, and am slowly getting my strength back. They are gradually letting me do a bit more each week and I am glad for that. The doctors expect a complete recovery, but insist that I give it time to happen. Not an easy task for an impatient man, but I am doing my best to listen to them.

While it was not an easy decision, I realized that meant that I should give up my moderator's job and going back to being just the "old Ohio preacher man" I was from the beginning. I like that role a lot more and I missed it when I was a moderator. My blood pressure stays down a lot better when I don't have to deal with conflicts and issues that come up here, but can just ignore them. In any case, it was an interesting venture in the moderator's world, and I have renewed respect for those who do it. But, ultimately, it isn't the job for me. I strongly recommended Sweat for the job and am delighted that he was offered and accepted it. He is a very good man and will do a great job. Please cut him some slack and give him some credit for doing what is too often a thankless job.

So, its good to be getting well, starting to ride a bit again, and letting someone else referee the Twins forums.

Thanks for your concerns -- and for the prayers of those who stayed in touch during the early weeks of my illness.

God bless you all,

Nice to see you back Monte and glad you're on the mend. Was looking for your email address the other day but failed to find it on a search.

To comment on other 'missing' members, TBA Golfer is back from Scotland and posting on BHO, Ridge (photo-shop) said he was taking a break some months back, Dazco was lurking 5 hours ago and well we all miss Booze.

Ride on !

Hi Monte...

Sorry to hear of your illness, but good to have you on the mend and posting again. I've always enjoyed your perspective.

Thoughts and prayers to you for your continued recovery.

Great call on Sweat.
