NY/NJ Twin Riders . . .

Question: Anyone have a solution to how to mount your EZ Pass whatchamacallit on a bike without a windscreen?

Would appreciate any ideas you may have.

I have a windscreen on both bikes, so I just use the velcro strips.

Putting the pass in my jacket pocket never worked for me.

There is a thing called the Toll Pass Holder. You may want to check that out at aerostich, cyclegadgets, and jjcyclepass. They all have what appears to be the same device. It attaches to the handlebar.

I have a safety vest with a clear plastic pocket near the right shoulder that holds my EZ Pass whatchamacallit.
Before that, I stuffed it in a clear plastic hunting/fishing license holder and pinned it to my jacket. That was about $3.
Both work well without having to mount anything on the scooter.

the left chest pocket usually works for me EXCEPT at the far right EZ Pass lane of the Manhattan-bound exit of the Triborough...I always have to wait for a cop to buzz me through on that one...

Inside a leather jacket? I've been wondering if that would work? Or does it need to be visible?

They have been known to read from inside your glove box if they are not in the static protective bag. You should have no issues just keeping it in any pocket of any jacket.

+1

The jacket pocket method works well at the Lincoln tunnel but found that it works only some of the time on the Garden State or NJ Turnpike. This product insures it works all the time. Have it mounted on the left hand side just next to the the grip.
