An odd little quirk on the Triumph alarm when on the center stand

I had given the Scrambler her weekly bath and let it on the center stand and went out to eat tonight and the neighbors told me that the Triumph alarm on the Scrambler had been going off every few minutes while I was gone. I think my cat may have set it off originally but the battery on my fob was low and I was barely able to reset but it went off again several times when I ran to Auto Zone for a new battery for the fob. The new battery made the fob work better but it would still go off when I set the alarm until I got it off the center stand and water dripped down from the engine. I'm guessing water that was left after washing it was somehow making an electrical connection that was setting it off. Everyhting is back to normal but I just wanted to give anyone with a Triumph alarm a heads up in case this happens to you when you wash it on the center stand. On the plus side, man is that thing LOUD.

Question Alarm

Thanks for the heads up, but I dont or will have a center stand, but getting ready to put the alarm on this week. Its getting bad enuff here in this country that you gotta alarm anything of value? The Bonne's are the least stolen bikes . Doesnt make them untouchable. I am sure a big parts item?

I live in a suprisingly safe neighborhood a frew blocks from a very small and notorious hood. For the most part the hooldums stay in the hood and we've got a pitbull with a vicious bark that is like kryptonite to hoodlums but I leave the Scram on the side stand in the car port because if any thieving scumbag even sits on her she has one incredible wail that is sure to scare them off with the possibiliyt of 50 rolling up. As much as i love the centerstand I'm always worried that they'd push it off then get scared and dump the bike. The alarm was worth about as much to me as the TOR's that mader her look as good as she sounds. The battery in the kdey fob, btw, seems to last about a year of daily use and the second one diesn't seem to work at all and it's now out of warranty.
