Oh no! bought an 08 Bonnie Black today...
But I don't pick it up until next Saturday!
Sold my Ducati this morning, so for the moment I am bikeless - which is strange...and I have nothing to do but think about what goodies should be waiting for the bonne when I bring it home next week?
I'm looking for some cool stuff that's not too costly- just enough to get started...
So let's hear

Well, my guess is after a while you'll want louder pipes. you can punch out or do a "bafflectomy" for almost nothing.
The best money I've spent is the NewBonneville.com seat bolts and sidepanel bolts. That's for convenience. But it's fairly cheap $40. I also think Barend mirrors are a smart investment cuz you can see soooo much better with them. I have Triumph 3 position barends.
Anyway, live with the bike for a while and you'll know pretty soon what you want to do with the thing.
I really love mine and be prepared to have people come up and ask questions.

There is so much you can do, depending on what kind of person you are.
My advice is ride it around first, get the feel of it, then start adding stuff.
I like the look of gaiters and tach, and like to have centrestand, plus I added the tarty triumph city bags - going to use cortech for touring though.
Seats are a commonly replaced item.
Beyond that the skies the limit. So before you go mad, just enjoy the ride, and see what takes your fancy.
And welcome to the family! The black ones, as you will discover, are faster.

Do the shocks and springs. Put some pipes on it and a K&N filter and ride it. What kind of Duke did you sell?

This is very sound, solid advice.

Check my signature. These mods aren't a recommendation, but simply an example of a very lightly modded (maybe not even modded, just accessorized) T100. As others have already written, you'll appreciate better suspension, unless you live in the sunbelt or the SW where winter doesn't tear your roads to pieces. (Just noticed your LA location .... roads probably in better shape than our Ohio winter-ravaged ones).

Mods
Gotta figure if you want safety or perf, or show mods 1st? The baflectomy is free & will makje the bikesound better &run smoother as well. Suspension is on my list & will be coming soon. (Been 4 yrs). The AI has gotta go. Real cheap. Safety involves signal cancellor- a biggy! Some light changes & some other minor changes. Take her thru the 1st 500 & make a list. Start crossing them off as you get them done. The suspension is comming, but not that big since its been 4 yrs! Things will fall in order as you move up in miles!. Welcome & congrats!! You will love the bike as do I & many others!! gotta put your prioritys in order. You will figure that in the 1st 500. Take kit slow & figuire whats important to you! All will come on time & $$! Enjoy!!!!
