I surely wouldn't mind a couple of gallons more. I wonder what a Scrambler would look like with an older Tiger tank???

That is pretty funky looking, but to each his own. It occured to me a while back that if I ever wanted a square type tank for my bike I'd do a 2:1 using the tank off an old Ducati GTS - get 5 gallons and knee indents. Would be an interesting concept I think... I'll try to botch together a pic to get my idea across.

Here:

It would be tricky, but I am certain it'd work with the right type of welding. The 900GTS is not that much larger than the T100, and as the 2 sit side by side in my garage, I have given it a bit of thought. More from the Ducati tank currently on ebay, but as I'm bailing the state soon, and don't have the spare Triumph tank, I don't know if or when I will attempt it. Maybe in a couple years.

Pythias,I think your mock-up of the Duck tank looks a lot better than that other tank.

I think that other one would look a lot better(although never pretty)with a different paint job.
Don't know what.Maybe paint the top 1/3 black,or maybe the bottom.Anything to break up that
pregnant lemon look!

Cheers!
Bruce

Thanks, and I agree.

When larger tanks are concerned I've decided I like angular tanks, not necessarily a breadbox, but the angles give it a sense of form and utility, where as big round tanks, as you put it make the bike look like a pregnant lemon.

Bigger tank

Take a look at normanhyde.co.uk for a bigger tank, painted or unpainted. And also tankshop.co.uk.but they are not going to be cheap!

That tank's okay with me. In fact when I first saw the picture of the Triumph,
it reminded me immediately of a Ducati Sport 1000. Just call me crazy!

Imagine that tank on a dark colored bike (BRG would be good) with the knee cutouts polished and pinstriped in red.
