Tiger Tank bag on my Bonnie
Hey guys, I was the Triumph open house deal yesterday and just so happens that my little boy's Bonneville tank piggy bank had some in...and I bought a couple things.
Soooo, I had ridden my bike up there and no way to get this stuff home. I looked around the shop to see if they had any backbacks b/c I've been in the marke for a new one anyway. None. So, I'm looking around at saddlebags and stuff....nothing I like. So--I happen to the Tiger tank bag......it's very trick--expandable, rain cover, map pocket etc. So I say what the heck and buy it. (I actually didn't realize it was made specifically for the Tiger.
I packed it up adn slapped it on the tank and rode home...no problems...It didn't affect the handling, get in my way, or block my instruments.
Any thoughts on this?

I've been using a Tiger bag on the Bonnie seems to work great.I did cut a hole in the pad
for the gas cap.

Was this the 10-15 liter magnetic tank bag, or a strap-on mount? I suspect from your "slapped it on the tank" verbage that this is the new magnetic mount bag.
Any chance of seeing a picture of it mounted on your Bonnie?

Thanks. It looks like Triumph is only showing the mag mount bag on their site for the Tiger now. Same with the Sprint tank bags.

I bought the magnetic bag. I has a ton of featurs--I'm sure the strap on model is mostly the same. When I bought it, I didn't even know it was expandable....I think it will easliy carry a six pack and some snaks.
And yep...the only drawback I see is that it covers the gas cap...but being magnetic...is easily removed. I'm really pleased. I will try to get a couple pic tomorrow and post.
Tom.

I just got a Joe Rocket Manta tank bag off ebay. It was $38.50 including shipping! Great price in my mind. Its not very big, but I didnt need or have the room for one on my bike. Have not had the chance to use it yet *&^%$#@ rain. Its got enough room to carry my lunch to work, which means no more back pack. Plus it includes a rain cover and a shoulder strap, so it can double as a small carry bag. And it just looks cool.
