something as simple as a shoelace

It could've been a lot, lot worse. Leaving Fenway Park with thousands of other people, I hopped on my bonnie and took off. Came to the first stop light and I notice that my shoelace has become looped around my shifter. Can't get my left foot down when I stopped. Luckily I had enough balance to "hang" for a second and got my right foot down. It would have been "wicked" embarrassing to dump the bike in a crowd. One of my favorite Boston shirts simply says "I like to yell things". I would have never heard the end of it. Here's to that extra bit of balance that let me avoid a fall.

Lesson learned. Tuck those laces.

similarity

Know what you mean, I had bought a new pair of wellington boots, with rather long heels, typical of that kind of boot.
First stop after getting on the bike, the left heel and instep got hung up on the outer lip of the left peg, and by the time I got it off and down, it hit some loose gravel and over I went. Surprised the poop out of me!
A nice fella on a harley stopped and watched me flop around on the ground for a bit, then helped me get her up again, broke the clutch lever tip off, and that's about it.
The boots are in storage, and I now sport a pair of smooth soled(ie no heel) kevlar ankle boots which I love.
You just never know!
Bill

I attempted to downshift on my Scrambler a few weeks ago & the footpeg was gone! Check out the peg fasteners--it might scare you...

"F" for Fan of the Red Sox..... Come on Hedge we all know you love the Red Sox.

You could not be a Fan of the Yankee's???????

What is a yankee anyway? isn't that the same thing as a quickie except you do it by hand

F the yankees

Now Hedge, you are officially uninvited to ride the BSA if you come to Hawaii. HahaHa LOL.
I grew up in Marlborough (pronounced Mahl'bro) and have had to watch my Sox from afar for the last 36 years. Dudes, I shed tears in 04 and '07. They're going all the way this year too.
