Scramblin!

Had yesterday afternoon free - and temps were sort of edging up around the 60 degree mark so I headed out for a one-hour ride. Hah!

Out of town, onto the highway for a few miles at 70 mph, then off onto a nice little twisty two-lane and up into the hills. Scrambler did just fine. Turned off onto a dirt Forest Service road and followed the creek past numerous beaver ponds, climbing higher and higher. Saw a few mule deer. Watched a golden eagle soar overhead. The Scrambler handled dirt, sand, rock, mud and a few still-melting snow patches just fine. I worked up to a pretty brisk clip and even caught air once ! Wasn't expecting that, must have been going faster than I thought. Finally turned around when the way was blocked by a pretty serious snow drift.

Back home via the twisties and the highway. Came back in four hours later, muddy, cold, tired and grinning from ear to ear. I think the little Triumph needs a bath too...

Excellent ride report, M700. Thanks. Here's hopin' the snow leaves us all alone for a while. Don't forget your camera next time. I'm looking forward to more Scrambler pictures from the Pacific Northwest.

Boy that's sounds like a really good time wish I was there instead of watching it snow here.

rmak - camera died a violent death. Hope to have a replacement in a few weeks. Meanwhile - yes - the ride was great! Scrambler is easily up to a pretty challenging road - the back tire in particular really worked well - plenty of traction in everything except snowdrifts.

Good report - I only hoe it is not too long before you have a replacement camera.
Your initial ride reports were great with awesome pix.
Keep them coming.
Cheers
Rhodie
