Cool Across the Country Twice.

Went across the country twice from LA to NY living out of a tent.

I have 20,000 + on my 2007 Bonneville. It still runs great, just a little leaky with oil.

I love this bike. I love the open road and living with less than a hundred dollars in my pocket.

I changed the handlebars and put the front license plate on recently.

I hate having to return to a job and our dim culture. I have very insane stories and am definitely going to write some sort of a book after my next trip.

the edge of the cams on the right side.

ive had them looked at twice. they told me they need to keep resealing it because im putting so many miles on it.

its not a powerful leak, but it certainly is annoying.

sounds like BS to me, if you're so inclined, you could remove it and use a tiny amount of RTV to seal it. Some have reported warped cam covers that cause the leak.

It's very common.

yea. i actually had warped cam covers, then i got them replaced for free under warranty. THEN they leaked more, I got them replaced again. Now they tell me the seal is breaking cause of the mileage. IT is BS. ive gotta figure something out.

im going to look into the RVS.

RTV, any auto parts store will have it.

You only need about a 1/16" bead into the gasket groove. The thinnest you can lay will work. Use a razor blade to cut the tip.

thats quite impressive, sir.

Now I ask you this: How many times going across the country did you fill up? I'm figuring about 25 times? for each trip.
