earthquake!!! I also have a question

Ok so we are having another aftershock here in Sothern Illinois! Ok.... is there a temp. that I shouldnt be riding the thrux due to the air not cooling the fins properly?

I'd be more worried about the richter scale than the temp.
Never had any probs running my Scram through the Aussie heat, so I doubt that US temps could hurt your Thrux.

air cooled efficiency

Air cooled engines are actually very efficient at shedding heat. I'm not going to post all the theory and stuff, it's quite lengthy, but it has been proven many times that air cooled can be a lot more effective than water cooled at keeping the cylinders at the right temp. They will even do it stationary in high heat environements for a lot longer than people realize. Of course, there are many, MANY different scenarios, factors and so on, so one is simply not better than the other.

Basically, living in illinois, you do not have to worry at all - ride that bike every day possible and enjoy it!
