Triumph parts delivery time

I bought my 07 Scrambler almost 3 weeks ago and got the $1000 in Accessories deal. I am still waiting for my dealer to get them in. Could someone tell me if this is the normal time frame in recieving Triumph parts. I sure hope not.

Generally if the parts are in stock with Triumph I get them in less than a week. Generally 3-5 days. Were all the parts you ordered in stock with Triumph?

it can take a while, even through the dealer.

I order all my oem parts from Baxter Cycle

I usually wait two to three weeks, whether by mail order or at the dealer. I accept that, but I don't accept that neither of my dealers carry basic replacement parts such as clutch cables and air filters.

An aside: I tried Baxter Cycles and ordered a couple jets and Thruxton needles. They shipped me the standard Bonneville needles, so back they go. I'm sure they'll make it alright, but it adds another two weeks to the process.

Here in The Netherlands parts are delivered to the dealer within 48 hrs, warranty parts even within 24. Provided, of course, they are in stock at the factory (over 95% is) and the dealer doesn't put back ordering till he has a larger order to place............

I ordered a new gas tank from the dealer, pre-paid in full.

GA shipped in one day, 2 day delivery. Took until the late afternoon, a full day after they had it for the dealer to admit it was there. When I got the tracking info from Customer Service in GA and went down there and showed the paperwork that they had signed for it the day before, they grudgingly received it and gave it to me. And they wanted the name of whoever in GA would dare give out information like that to a customer so they could chastise them. My impression is they would have maybe called me after a few more days - if I was lucky.

My experience= GA does a great job, customer service actually checked to make sure that my tank was really in stock (only showed 1) and that it was undamaged in the correct color before I plunked down my dollars at the dealer.

Dealer - not great, to me they dont really understand that friendly service equals repeat customers. I can never understand why so many motorcycle shops are so quick to give attitude to their customers. For my HD I drive by the large dealer to go to the smaller dealer another 20 miles away just because of the attitude from both parts and service guys. The smaller dealer (owned by the same person I understand) always friendly, always helpful.

Now I didnt buy the bike there, but I would be willing to bet from what I hear are very small markups on the bikes, but there is always huge marging in parts that they probably made out pretty good selling me a gas tank at MSRP ($895)

I wish triumph would make there dealers stock some parts its crazy you have to order everything you get that may take 1 or 2 weeks they wont order till they get a order together thats crazy.I dont see why triumph usa wont drop ship parts stright to us if the dealer orders them for us.Doing a engine on one of these bikes takes for ever to get all the parts you need.Baxter is quicker then most i use them mainly now.
