I tried a helmet camera on my Bonnie today.
Got it kind of wrong this time (camera pointing too low), so I need to fix for next rides.
A nice ride anyway..
Good first attempt, as you say a little higher with the camera. Pity you won't be able to get the mike part of it a little nearer the rear, it's picking up a lot of front engine sound. Nice ride.
cool video! Some people with the on board cameras have some luck with a piece of foam over the mic to cut down on the wind noise... not sure what that camera mic pickup looks like, if it's even possible.
I ride with earplugs all the time, I sometimes forget what the motor sounds like (you hear it, but your ears only attenuate so far). I don't mind - I get where I'm going, my ears aren't ringing, and I don't have that feeling of fatigue when I ride without them.
Great vid - thank you for sharing.
Try putting a foam earplug over the mike.
Dependent obviously on size of mike of course.
This will reduce the windage sound.
Also, if you have a long enough lead, place the mike behind you.
If the the mike is 'built-in" then put foam over the the mike hole.

Here below is another video this week, trying a new camera position. Sorry for the sound again guys, I just left the microphone hanging in the bag and the audio is horrible. I put some music on it to try to cover it.
Kind of boring ride to and back from work in the morning and evening, but couldn't head to the forests/mountains around here.
I'll keep on trying..
Tbirdnz, Rhodie,
Yes, the audio stinks. Thanks a lot for all the advise. I definitely have to find a better setup for the microphone. I've just left it hanging in the saddlebag.

How many miles per week do you put on your bike?
Maybe 200 a week? I bought this Bonnie new last June and it has 7500 miles now.
