My buddy has a nicely-moded 05 Thrux. He wanted a less inclined body lean, so he raised his clip-ons with Heli Bars and had Hermy in Port Clinton, PA (where he bought his used Thrux) convert the rear pegs to mid shift controls.

I have an 07 T100. The difference when I ride his Thrux with my Bonnie?

When I think about turning on his Thrux, it has already happened, due to the smaller front wheel, the rake angle, and the body weight over the front forks. Where I get a whole lot of wind blast on my upper body on my T100 at upperwards of 70 mph, the Thrux, with tucked-in arms and forward lean, slices right through the wind like smooth butter.

So....I'm converting to lower Flanders bars this week to reduce the sail effect and have a cleaner cut into the wind at those upper speeds. Just for giggles, I'm adding Napolean bar end mirrors.

As has been so often stated here, Thrux owners lust after Bonnies (his Thrux has more aftermarket chrome on it then my T100, and he recently installed Norman Hyde togas using a bracket than Norman made for him), and my T100 is looking sleeker and more cafe-like.

yup, sounds like my bike. With my 17" mag wheels that are a combined weight savings of 18-20lbs over stock wheels, and my clip on bars. Very leaned forward, out of the wind, and intuitive handling.

You'll like those new bars, especially above 40mph.

Yeah, I have both - neither are stock. In stock forms - my Thrux was sportier and faster, but it aint hard to turn a standard Bonnie into something just as good or better.

Pic of mine and the GF's Triumphs from last Fall.

The Thrux and T100 engine and carbs are identical but headers and mufflers are not. They should be responsible for a couple more hp (maybe less?) on the thrux. So yes, I agree that there isn't any mentionable difference
