A whole different set of issues

I stopped by the small shop that mounts and balances my T100 and R100GS tires for me. It was a wet afternoon, and it was slow at the shop, so the fellow behind the counter had a few minutes to talk. I noticed a Kaw drag bike I hadn't seen before, and found that Perry, who had originally built the bike, had repurchased it from the previous owner. We talked for a good while about the mods the previous owner had made:
- new turbo and fuel system nicely dialed in.
- new three speed tranny with greatly oversized gears and 'special' shift dogs.
- an 'autoshift' feature that works in combo with the air shifter and shifts at a predesignated rpm, apparently without unloading the chassis.

Apparently the bike ran well at the Norwalk, Ohio strip last summer. Current hp of this bike without max boost is over 300. Problem the owner believes has been eliminated .... the bike's desire to eat transmissions, even $3k billet trannys!

This makes any issues I have with my bikes pale by comparison.

Bob
