2008 America ?

Hello all, new to the site. I just have a quick question for you guys. I haven't gotten my Triumph yet. I have been looking for quite some time and coming up with the money. I really love the America and its what I am looking for. However I just checked out the new 2008 models and was really disappointed with the change in the tank's shape. The previous models had the really cool oldschool knee scoopes that I felt really set triumphs apart. However these have been removed from the 2008 models. What do you all think?

While if your in the U.S.A. there is alot of 07 models still on the show room floor. If Your not in the U.S. then the new models might have EFI that would be the big differnce other then the tank.

Hi,

I got an in-between version of the speedmaster...late 07, Had the new tank but not the EFI. I kinda like the new tank, but i understand why some do not. Specially as the old tank is kinda traditional, very odd that they did change the shape.

Keeping that in mind....my first trip into the city on the new speedmaster, a Harley rider on a fatboy pulled up along side at the lights....I gazed over, he looks across and spoke "hey man, nice ride"...then the lights turned green and he thundered off.

Now, I've been riding my Honda for a couple of years before my Triumph and Harley riders have never even given me a nod.....I was stunned.,,,but I've heard that Harley riders 'nod' on the inside
