Anyone want a nice set of black/ white T100 sheetmetal ?

I'm not too excited about the looks of my 2007 Bonneville black/ white T100. I couldn't pass up the deal, but after owning it a month, the looks aren't growing on me.

I'd like to find someone who wants to swap sheetmetal with me. Maybe a solid black or silver color, even another T100 two tone. I'm open to offers.

My stuff is a month old and completely new condition.

I live in North Texas, so local would be even better.

Here's the add I posted in the classified about the matter...

As a side note, I'd sure like to meet some other Triumph fans in the DFW area, so send me a PM if you live around here.

Kevin,

I'm being a bit of a Job's comforter by saying this, but I bought the identical motorcycle brand new from a local dealer, and got them to swap the two tone b+w tank for the plain black one off the bonnie black demonstrator before I paid for it, to "seal the deal". I just thought plain black was splendidly understated.
So although I can offer no practical help, I support your aesthetic crisis 100%.
Good luck with your quest!

I've got the same paint. I figure when I get tired of it I will take off the painted parts, have them powder coated, and put them back on. I'll probably end up powder coating the chrome at the same time.

I really wanted a Bonnie Black when I bought mine, but the T100 was a leftover at a price that I couldn't refuse, and having the tach was a real plus for me, so at least for now I'm riding a penguin instead of a rat.

I have a black/white

I like the look of the black as well. i was wondering what it would look like to ghost out the white. You know go over it with black just to the point that the design still comes thru. Has anyone seen that done before?

I've always rather liked the b/w T100.

Not enough to trade out tanks however, sorry.

Welcome to the asylum.

You guys are right. The stock black and white T100 just doesn't work. BUT... the answer isn't to take the B&W tank off. The answer is to put more chrome on.

I love my Blacked out bonnie but I also think the
Tuxedo T-100 is pure class and the best looking of
the 2-tones. First thing I would do is put on a chrome
cam cover and then chrome foot and hand controls
with that particular color combo.

If my tank wasn't pen striped and I didn't like it so much
I'd be jumping all over this deal.

Don't mean to jack you're thread.
