Ohhh.....i hate to do this to you, but you should know. Look closer at the pegs. They are forward controls like the speedmaster, not mid contros ike a bonnie or such. Makes me happy, but i think you should be aware they aren't what you were thinking.

Wow! There's a lot of pages in here. When I first looked at it I had a hard time seeing if it was a twin or an in line four. Something wrong there. At least it's different but not as in the Rocket III, I like the Rocket better. Who was the first one to say they were expecting a big cruiser? My hat's off to you. I guess I wanted something a little smaller like a 500 or a 350 or maybe even a 650 thumper.

you know i hated this thing at first look but put some fake fins on the jugs shine the motor up like a t100 put it on a mod. bonnie frame and it wouldnt be that bad.everyone has there own taste and im not knocking anyones bikes but i jusy dont get why all the HD look alike bikes even the bonnies I want a kaw to look like a kaw a bonnie to look like a bonnie and so on.I cant understand triumph the old ones are some of the best looking bikes ever made
they dont look like HD one of the other best looking bikes ever made .they should play on the past like HD and just keep making it better.Back in the 60s chicks loved rideing on the back of bonnies about as much as Hd .full dressed HD where not chick magnets lean mean sporters and striped down or choped hd where the thing.put that big motor on a lean mean bike and we would have somthing us old men could scare them young guys running jap bikes with

The other manufacturers may want their parts back:

Honda - for the rear fender and chrome strips.
Kawasaki - for the engine castings with the fake fins.
Yamaha - for the 1980s Maxim wheels.
Harley - for the primary cover.
Moto Guzzi - for the gas tank.
Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki - for the front end.

I hope they sell a million of them. But they sure are ugly.

I think Triumph hired the old geezers that used to work for American Motors back in the 60's. It does kinda look like an old rambler. If ugliness were a crime, that bike would get the electric chair, sho nough.

I agree but what are they to do. Have a big honking frame support the top of the fender, have a smooth surface on the casting, solid wheel's like a Fat Boy, a large engine needs a large clutch thus the large primary cover, have a battery instead of a gas tank [ Hm mm, I wonder if that thing is real?], use a springer { oh yeah, that's a copy to}. I wonder if it's chain, belt or shaft drive? Sorry guy's, I don't like it even if they did copy it from the last 100 year's of technology.

This coud be very interesting if true, and actually i heard this as a rumor a while back so maybe theres some truth to it. Theres a post over at the BA forum where 03cruiser, who was a member here but i think he jumped ship, posted to say that he heard this from a "reputable person who has a invite to the july dealers meeting". Who that would be i have no idea. But the person apparently said there will be 4 versions of the bike. The only way i could envision 4 versions would be 2 cruisers that are different like the pre '07 america and speedy were with wire wheels and mags on each and black vs grey engines, then the same 2 types but in non cruiser mid peg or BONNIE type versions. That would be awesome. If the bike turns out to be nice after all, it would give our bonnie guys the chance to go bigger too ! Some wouldn't want that, but there have been quite a few who expressed interest in a big quick bonnie. Anyways, go look at his post in the other bikes forum in that thread woth a load of pages. The post is the last one on page 8. he sounds pretty sure this guy knows what he's talking about. Hope so........it would be great to have 4 versions to choose from.

Dazco, Although it might be cool it does seem alittle off (only guessing). But with the Arrow line-up thing seen in the News section of the Triumph website, wondering if that was a mix match of info. Looks like there might be 3 new "Special" editions coming out and with this 1700cc bike it would make four. But that is also just a thought too.
