Oh the 904 anticipation

Today I received the valve guide seals and shims for the head plus
an assortment of other stuff from Bike Bandit.
I also received a few other goodies from New Bonnie.
I would of had my cylinder jugs and pistons back from the machine shop today
if UPS didn't fall down on me. They didn't deliver them because of the weather DA...MMMM
I will try to wait til this weekend before I start to assemble every but, I
don't know if I will be able to. It's not like I'm going to be able to take
it out any time soon we have about 6" of snow that fell last night.
Man.....spring can't come soon enough.
Bill

How about a ski on the front and studs on the rear? I know the feeling, and I'm not doing anything to the bike except waiting for spring.

there's no feeling like hitting that starter button the first time. It's anticipation, eagerness, anxiety, fear, dread, worry, excitement, and Christmas morning all rolled into one!

I'm on the edge of my seat for you, Bill. (You know, I think part of the reason I rev the crap out of my 790 and ride in freezing cold weather is a secret desire to either; 1) blow it up or 2) rack up the mileage so that I have an excuse to buy the BB kit.)

I know when I get it all back together I will be going nuts waiting for a good day and it was in the 60's last week.

Yes I was just waiting for the guide seals.
I polished the intakes up nice and just cleaned up the exhaust ports
and combustion chambers and lapped all the valves and seats.

You guys are used to all that white stuff.
I've lived in New England all my life and I will never get used to it.
You guys keep your snow up there where it belongs

I was trying to hold off and wait till I racked some more miles but, I couldn't.
I read to many stories about guys installing the 904 ,989.1100,and 1200 kits and it just got me to camed up to wait.
It wont be long now I have waited this long I will be pushing that button soon

Dude my 1200 took 6 months to get everything together. The engine sat on my kitchen island for 2 months and I STILL hear it from my wife anytime I start to do something. Wife's snarling voice "Uhh Greg, this isn't going to sit in the kitchen for 2 months is it?" Gosh I'm glad I have such a great wife.

Greg

Patience can't be rushed, it's an aquired emotion.

I spent most of 2007 without a bonnie to ride. I tore the motor down at the end of January, got it back together in March, blew it up, got it back together in June/July, rode it for a month and in August I tore it down for the wheels, and I only just got it back together in Nov/Dec...

sucked!
