Hi guys and girls,

Thanks for all the words of help and advice on my new year miseries. All taken on board and preparing for 2008 proper.

Finally picked up the courage to have a good look at my poor olde bike. Could be a worse I suppose.

At least one bent fork...

"Dinged" Exhaust (already showing a little rust after 7 days!)...

Finally the tacho & head light...

Plan of action is to slowly acquire the things I know I need, and then get her shipped over to Windy Corner to do the work. No way I could afford to do this using original & new parts...unless my claim to the council is successful

Until then I'm just going to have live vicariously through you guys.

If you lived closer I would clean out my garage to help you out. I think the shipping from State side would kill you though. I could fix you up with everything but the tank and headlight.

Nothing sadder than a crashed classic. Probably have to "reprogram" the fueling to accomodate the modified pipe. Best of luck to you.

Did you check the fork stop on the dented side? From the depth of the dent it could easily be damaged as well.

Gav, I know it's a cost you not might want to, or maybe can't, live with, but I suppose this is a golden opportunity to fit all those bits that you've imagined or seen on other people's bikes. In this life you've got to make the most of that silver lining that's going!!
