What a waste of a Scrambler. He's only using the motor. Don't Triumph sell crate motors to bike builders? If any of you Scrambler owners live close to this guy, go & see what he wants for the rest of the bike. There's a perfectly good bike (with 10 miles on the clock), which you can canibilise for spares (or put back on the road if you can find a cheap motor)

Apart from that, I think it's a pretty good effort. Especially seeing as it's only his second bike, & his first attempt at frame fabrication.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

Having had the displeasure of being on a hardtail once, I agree that that bike will result in a bad a**. To each his own, but not a new beautiful Scram. Some things are just wrong!

you guys call it a waste of a new bike, but he'll be able to sell off a lot of those parts to get some money back and recoup some losses.

I'd rather do it to a used bike though.

I think it will be pretty cool if he gets it on the road. BTW Jeff, I`m now a member of the JockeyJournal too, since this morning. I wish I had had the time to mount and test my Spurgin oil cooler but its not been too great here weather wise. Its pretty small and unobtrusive relative to the stocker that guy is using, but I can`t recommend it because I haven`t tried it yet.

Cool Steve. The JJ is really cool, their wrenching over there make our mods here look like changing a lightbulb.

+1 on doing this with a used Triumph instead of a brand new one.
