1'st Anniversary, & the Honeymoon Ain't Over Yet

It's 12 months to the day, since I signed the contract on my Scrambler. & tentatively rode it home. Worrying that I'd done the right thing, & wondering how long it'd be before I killed myself (like all my friends said I would).
So to still be here, one year on, with an unmarked bike with over 36K klms on the clock, is a very satisfying feeling.
& what a great year it's been. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of those 36000 klms. I'm more in love with my bike now than I was then (& I was pretty rapt with it then), which is a testament to how great these bikes are.
The first thing I look at, when I get up in the morning, is the sky. & if it's clear (like today), then all I wanna do is ride (like my signature says). How many bikes make you feel like that, after 12 mths of ownership?
Well mine can still take my breath away & give me goosebumps, when I walk around a corner & catch sight of it against some equally impressive backdrop.
One year gone, & many more to come.
Ain't love grand?

This must be the start of something big!

The happy couple visiting friends on the Tablelands. On day of a torrid affair, which shows no sign of cooling soon (thankfully)

& as the sky outside is looking really blue today. Have a guess what I'm about to do?
Thanks to Triumph for making a bike that's just perfect for my needs.
Thanks to everyone here for the advice & camaraderie.
What a great year
Here's to many more.
Ride On Regardless
Scratch

Congratulations to the happy couple. May you have many, many more gorgeous kms together.

Our anniversary is still a couple of months up. April 2nd I picked Vikki up at the store. A great love just started.

Scratch, you thank for the cameraderie. I must thank you in return. And of course for the great Winter-time posts with pics.

I think he is taking a perpetual "sick day." Good on him!

Good on you, Scratch! Think about all the guys who buy bikes to look at them and if they ride them never really like what they bought. You, on the other hand, have found the perfect one.

Congrats!

I think it is customary somewhere for you to buy us all virtual drinks to celebrate. Make mine diet Cherry Pepsi. [I know. I know. But I drank enough in my first half century to carry me through the second one]

Scratch--Congrats on your one-year anniversary. I'm just now celebrating mine with the '06 T100 I picked up last winter with 2400 miles on it. I echo everything you say. Our relationship continues to grow and deepen as we get to know each other and as we learn more about how to bring out the best in each of us. And mine just seems to love it when I surprise it with expensive gifts to make it even more beautiful and a better, more responsive companion. I'm rewarded each time--it's a beautiful thing. My friends are jealous of us. Love is grand, indeed.
