Intro

Been hanging around here for couple weeks and thought I'd introduce myself. My previous Triumph was a 6T Thunderbird that I rode with the Flying Boot MC in Pittsburgh, Pa in 1957 and 58. Previously had indian and couple harleys. (note no cap). Took '60s off to serve military, start family and career in machine accounting. (DP, IT). '70 thru '05 saw Kaw C2SS, A1SS, Yam RD350, XS400 Spl, XS1100 Spl, XV1100 and couple others. Found an '01 Bonnie in Macon with 588 total miles and rest is history. Oh, I am 68 11/12 yrs old, retired comp spec, and current part time CDL-A Driver. Sometimes it's tough, but I rode today. Clyde

Clyde, welcome!! I like to see someone more senior than myself still enjoying two wheels. I think you'll find everyone here a pleasure to communicate with. I know I do. Amazing how a common interest can bond people of such a wide range of ages, that might otherwise not give a second thought to. I'll look forward to learning from you experiences and of course seeing your pics.

G'day Clyde
I think you'll like it here, & it sounds like you've a wealth of experience to call on. so I look forward to hearing your stories & opinions.
Have you done many miles on your Bonnie since you got it?
How come it's done less than 100 miles per year since new?
Has it had it's first service yet?
Great buy, however you swung it.
Ride On

Welcome, Clyde! I was kind of hoping you would be about 7 weeks older, so I could be a young'en. Not so. That's OK tho, since its always great to have another long in tooth type join us.

Post a pic of your ride when you get a chance.

Glad you are aboard, brother.

Clyde the glide...

Welcome and praise to you.
You're a veteran rider and we seek your imputations.
You still need to provide a round of Iron City or Rolling Rock all around.
Get some pics up!

Welcome Clyde! Sure hope you'll share with us some stories about riding a Triumph back in the '50s.

Cheers!

Big welcome to these forums and with age and wisdon there is no doubt I will be looking forward to you're post.

I always wanted a RD350 so kudos to a ledgend you once owned. Also, great choice in the 01 Bonne.
