I thought the McGregor Belstaff Bonneville was the special edition?

the Belstaff gave me a lot of ideas. I'm glad i got mine this yr though. just didn't want the EFI stuff on such a classic design.

Im still sitting here waiting to see if they do a Bud Ekins tribute Scrambler for 09. I hope its not just a different paint job and polished engine. Waiting, wishing, hoping.

There is an article on Webbikeworld showing a photo of Triumph's 50th anniversary Bonny. It is all black with gold pinstipping and gold decal type tank badge. (looks similar to late 50's A.J.S singles) The rims are gold (anodised alloy?) and appear to have a black middle (spoke nipple area). Can't be sure, but think the camcover is gold as well

If I can dream for a bit, then perhaps they can make a anniversary edition with a kick start and about 75 pounds lighter than the one they have now. Love the new ones for reliability, but they are much heavier than the older ones. They will probably come out with nothing special for the bike but will make a very nice and expensive leather riding jacket.

I too thought the Belstaff thing was for the 50th?

How about...

A new Bonneville that starts in cold (<50 F) weather?
A Gas Cap that comes off?
Paint that doesn't chip off around, and in, the gas tank?
Numerous brackets on the bike that are coated in some cheap silver whatever, either
Chromed or Black Powder coated?
An exhaust system that sounds like 50 years ago? Nice deep tone, but not overly loud?
Pre-coated pipe interiors so the pipes don't blue so easily?

Then...

Maybe a chromed fuel tank?
Better padded leather seat with contrasting piping?

Add some highlights and pinstriping, throw on a 50th insignia, and you've got a nice bike!
