The movie "Once"
My Sister-in-Law dropped of a foreign film the other day for us to see. Nice film, but in it there was a bonnie sequence where the son had borrowed the bonnie from his father without permission. They portrayed the bonnie as the father's new 'love' since his wife had past. When the son borrowed the bonnie it was made clear to the viewer that extreme care was necessary for the son's well being.

Rented the DVD of the small (on purpose) independent Irish film, Once, recently. The unnamed male lead/song writer/singer of the film borrows his Da's Bonnie in the last part of the film and drives the unnamed female/Eastern European/piano player/singer on a lark. It is obvious that both the older (late 50s/60s) and younger (mid 30s) Irish fellows love and enjoy the Bonnie.
Not sure what your "Extreme care......" line means?
I'd recommend renting the film. It has heart.

Wow! What a head spin!
I saw that movie in a plane early December without knowing the name or anything about the movie. I had just test ridden a bonny and a scrambler the week before (along with some jap cruisers and a HD Sportster).
That sequence of the bonny was a reason I went back for another look and bought a T100 the day after I got back. I wondered a couple of times what the name of that movie was. Thanks guys!

Once
The main characters have no names, they are listed in the credits as guy and girl.
Guy says to girl who wants him to teach her how to ride, "me dad will go bleedin' mental. He totally loves this thing.
That was the only point I was trying to make.

Glen Hansard...from "The Frames"
It's a Great movie...I'm not much of a Love Story guy...but I don't consider this movie a Love Story, as one may assume from the trailer, but more of a story of friendship, challenges, choices...hope my wife doesn't read this...then we'll have to go see Jennifer Aniston's new movie...Ha!!
Anyhow...The Bonneville did become kind of a symbol of "All he's got" and by not allowing her to ride it...showing the respect he has for his father...One of my favorite scenes was with his father near the end, after they were listening to the CD...Great scene.
So get your Beer drinking, bar brawling, baseball bat carrying thug arses to the movie rentals and rent it!! It won't kill you too Not see Jason Statham busting some guy in the chops with a fire hose while carrying his girlfriend down a flight of stairs...for the tenth time...and in case you care...Jason Statham is one of my favorite actors...

Great movie... After an initial "awww...", I decided that the "hanging" ending worked pretty well. Life doesn't always present itself with nice little conclusions complete with a pretty bow on top. Well, maybe in Hollywood movies, but this was a million miles from a Hollywood movie. As with any semi-successful, or critically acclaimed "foreign" film, we're probably in for a remake, complete with sex, drugs and sell-out stadium tour at the end
I loved the sensitivity of the father/son relationship. Volumes were spoken with very few words. The writer showed some personal knowledge with how much the bike was loved and respected... I was willing him not to give in when the girl was badgering him to "have a go".

Wonderfully put!! I agree completely...
When she kept at it...all I could think of was a million ways she could damage the Bonneville and the Movies story...
