I used them alot when I rode with a open helmet had one looked like a skull that was formed fitted that covered your neck to the nose. I found it much nicer to throw a fully on a ride.

Don`t wear a facemask like the "cool" bikers do;skull,Darth etc,but I do wear a cozy TurtleFur balaclava. It is soft, thin and long enough to get well down inside my collar.

Anytime its 40 degrees or less I ride with one. I leave the house at 5:30a.m. for work and its dark and cold, brrrr. After 45miles one way, at 75mph or better, even with a full helmet, its the chin and neck that gets frosty.

Mask

I have a jacket w/ large collar velcro lock that is really a mask of sorts. I have used Dust masks in the past for various reasons- dust, pollen, nasty conditions or just cold. If it gets where you dont need it- just let it slide down around your neck. Pull it back up if neccessary?? No bubble shield- handy tool!!

I have a very cool looking skull face mask.
It works excellent I think it's great it helps keep the frost bite off your face
and it scares little kids at the same time.
It makes riding in the cold weather much more comfortable.
