Resizing an image is EASY.

Learn the simple steps that follow and you'll be able to ...
1.) resize images on your PC so they can be attached to e-mails and
2.) be able to upload them to your TriumphRat Member Album

Step 1. FIND THE "PAINT" PROGRAM
Microsoft Windows includes a standard program called "Paint" that
is very easy to use and makes it simple to resize most images.
(If you've got Windows 98 or later, you've always had this program.)

The program is usually found here ...
Start > Programs > Accessories

If not there, then use Explorer or Search to find mspaint.exe
(Usually in the c:\WINDOWS\system32)

Step 2: LAUNCH "Paint" (see above)
Step 3: OPEN THE IMAGE ... File > Open > the picture you want to resize
Step 4: RESIZE THE IMAGE ... Image > Stretch/Skew (see below)
Step 5: SAVE IT AS A .JPG ... File > Save as > give it a name
Step 6: UPLOAD THE IMAGE to your Member Album or other Internet storage site.

The "Paint" program can be used to crop pictures and place text on your pictures. It can do a lot more, and it's FREE!

Thanks alot. There's been several times when I wanted to post a picture that was in IMG format and had it rejected on this and other forums.

I'm hoping everyone on the forum can learn to resize, upload, and insert photos in most, if not all, of their posts. We really like pictures!

Another one:
For anyone using MicroSoft XP there is a handy 'image resizer' on MS Power Toys. Load this small program and you just need to right-click on your image to resize it.
