Riding season over for the year.

It looks like my riding season is over. Went to Doc's for problems with my arms and hands going numb; after 4 tests he said I have nerve damage in both arms and wrists. Now I have to wait for surgery. First they will cut the RT arm and wrist then after thats healed they will cut the LT, similar to carpul tunnel. That wipes out between 3 and 4 months of riding. I also have to give up Handgun shooting and Trap/Sporting Clays shooting until at least next summer (not that I was real good with the clays, but it is fun). This is going to be a very boring winter/spring.

Bob, sorry to hear about your dismal winter/spring, but at least your having things fixed. You may miss a few months now but getting years in the future. Good luck.

Sorry for your troubles. Bum luck. But I am glad that they at least the docs have a solution that will get you back to the things you love to do.

Bob you will just have to spend more time here typing with one hand. Sorry to hear it happened but glad they have a way to fix it for you. I had to give up the big bores over recoil damage to my wrist thumb would go numb. It will get better for you. But keep us up to date.

Get well soon. And remember that you may have some boring time now, but in the end it'll be worth it.

Sorry about your troubles Bob. Just know that myself and probably a lot of others will be thinking about you while we're sitting on our butts, not riding during the winter months. Take care and heal up quickly.

Bob, sure hope you find other past times you enjoy so the time goes quicker.

I shot action pistol for about 5 years. Between all the practice and matches, shooting major calibers takes its toll on the wrists.

Just a note, I bought one of those Ultra Sound tools and for me, it really helps. You may ask your doctor about it.
