Just woke up this morning...a brisk 33 degrees out...thought I'd take some pics before I gear'd up and went riding...Nothing big about the pics...just sharing them for the Hell of it...

Cheers!!

No Chicken strip on this Bonnie...

The Business End of my Bonnie...

Flat Track bars...a Month or two now and wouldn't ride with anything else!

Advice? I recently painted the chrome stays black, the headlight gets PowderCoated next week, Euro gaiters the week after...Do you folks think a Ped Slicer would look right with the style I've got going on or not? I can't make up my mind...

Thanks Road...That's just the thing...I like it...on OG bikes...but I'm not sure about it on my Bonnie...I'm not trying to build a reproduction of the late 50's-60's Bonnie...Maybe I could do a mock up at work...then see how that looks?

Chicken Strip?

Here is a good representation of what a Chicken Strip is in the World of Motorcycles...As you can see...the majority of the wear on this tire is the center strip...the term is suggestive that those that only (primarily) ride at a **** near 90 degrees to the road are Chicken...Personally I don't care how anyone chooses to ride...To each thier own...but I love to ride the piss out of my Bonnie...

On my rear 150, you can see the wear covers all but the last 1" or so on either side...after that and it's peg scrap'n time...

Chickens?

Not to hijack the thread (yeah, right) but I've always wondered how chickens got the reputation for being cowardly. They were originally bred to be gamecocks -- fighting birds -- and have managed to retain the pugnacious personality even in the egg and meat breeds.

OK, I haven't always wondered -- just since grad school in LA. I lived next to a family who raised 'em for meat, eggs, and other activities ****** grad students weren't supposed to know about. They seemed to have a lot of roosters. When I went back to get my bike, I had to shoo the guys out of the way, and they tended to object!

Thanks Gump...The lights are Lucas Classics from NewBonneville.com, Brent has 3 or 4 styles to choose from...all of them are Plug-and-Play...no wiring, splicing, headache...and takes the Bonnie back 40 years in the blink on an eye!! The Stock brake/turn signals are amazingly horrible for such a good looking moto...
