clocks

Has anyone here mounted a clock on their Bonnie? What do you have? I've been looking at the Dennis Kirk catalogue and they have mostly Formotion clocks. Any experience with these?

Clocks

Brett at New Bonneville has some nice clocks and thermometers. Easy installation.

My Bonnie has the fork stem watch from Bella Corse. Mounts unobtrusively and actualy keeps time. And no, I have no vested interest in BC.
Was going to attach a picture or link, but no dice. I'm sure you can look it up.

I custom made the bracket out of stainless steel and polished it.
These are the stick on ones but I ended up drilling through the back
covers to bolt them on to the bracket.
They are both very accurate although the thermometer will suck up the
suns rays and heat it up so it reads hotter then it really is.

Hey Billy,

With your talents you should have just set down at the workbench and fabricated your own clock and thermometer.

I think my clock is a Formotion. Been working great for almost 2 years.

Regarding their temp meter and similar ones, read reviews how poorly they give the temp because of the sun and other elements. Expensive too.

I bought a cheap (about $4) meat temp analog thermometer with a short metal stem and it comes with a plastic sheath. I tie-wrapped it to my bar in the sheath. It gives the real air temperature.

Formotion Clock

I bought the stem mount Formotion clock for my Bonnie. The piece that holds the clock sits over the stem nut and has a set screw that is supposed to screw against the nut to hold the unit in place. But the set srew was too high. I had to take the unit to a machine shop to get about 1/4" machined off the bottom ($10) so that the set screw would line-up with the nut. I'm glad I went through the trouble because it really does look very good.

I bought one of the stem nut clocks for my Thruxton over at http://www.clocks4bikes.com. The quality and fit are excellent. Ross and team really went the extra mile for me too, when there was a small issue with my order. If you order tell them that Jon in Idaho sent you.
