Triumphs Everywhere!

Went to a custom bike show in Christchurch, NZ today and I'd say about 90% of the bikes in the car park were Triumphs.

Perhaps everybody's seen the light?

Triumphs are becoming like sheep in NZ.

Everyone is riding them.

Apparently, you Kiwi's are much more intelligent than most American riders who are on Harleys and apparently equate violently shaking under performing cubic inches with their preceived (or lack of) masculinity

The show was a big let-down actually. Half the bikes were just some or other stock, not very tidy, not very interesting things and most of the remainder were just cheque book, bad taste bikes.

There was one nice old Norton and a Hesketh but it was hardly worth the $10 entrance fee.

I dunno Brian, if I could ride my bike to Christchurch and have a destination where I could meet other motorcyclists, look at bikes a little, generally hang out and then have a good ride back for just ten bucks NZ plus gas, I'd think it would be a bargain.

Of course, it would take a couple of tankfulls to get to Christchurch from the American Midwest!

I said it several times Triumphs are back and the world has taken notice you dont have to dress in the full black leather S&M get up to go for a ride and you don't have to get a secound job to afford one. I am seeing more and more of them in the hands of vintage riders not to many toddlers but 35 and over. Face it Triumphs are the only bike that was ever truely compared to a HD. We will once again claim our place at the top one ride at a time. Thats what you get for dumping all that tea in the water in Boston.

So I guess what you're trying to say is that Triumph might need to change their slogan from Go your own way to Follow me to the beer and the broads.
