Hmmm .... 44F, feels like 39
Sounds like a perfect day to suit up and go for a ride, probably not a long one, but a ride. First activity will be a short drive in the cage to Gander Mountain to buy the top to match the thermal bottoms I picked up last week. They're great under leather bibs. Should have bought tops and bottoms at the same time.
BTW - here's a great link for any of you with speakers on your computer that like to select your pop music by the year. Good stuff to run in the background while reading the Rat Forum. Hope you enjoy it.

On Tuesday, I left Maryland where it was 50 degrees heading to Somerset PA (in my car). By 9 PM it was 29 degrees and blowing snow. I had a light, lined golf windshirt. Yeah, got to remember to check the weather before I head out...

34 here today, I took a short jaunt around the lakes. Felt good to be on the bike, and also felt good to take a nice warm shower after..
The days are dwindling down to a precious few...

been too cold in the Baltimore area (upper 30's in the AM) for me to make the commute, so looking forward to a weekend ride during the afternoon, and hoping the weather forecasts for next week are correct. . .upper 40s in the AM and 60s in the afternoon. If true, then I can ride her on the commute a few more times.
ride on

40s and 60s ..... you guys in Baltimore are truly in the South! Enjoy the weather when it arrives.

Yesterday it was around 25F when I left the house.
I was dressed for it but my hands were cold.
Time to break out the Hippo Hands. Butt ugly, but effective in keeping the wind off your paws.

cold
this morning it was 40 degrees and I scraped ice off the windshield like every other day this week.
you know why they call them "weather men"? because they get paid weather they are right or not.

I installed a cheapie set of grip heaters on my T100. Those things combined with a set of Hippos and I could ride until the roads iced over!

I occasionally work out of our office and on those days, love to ride to work. For the first time ever, I was able to do this commute in November last week, with the warmer temps we've experienced. Unfortunately with the time change, that's over for the year. I have to ride through some very heavily wooded rural areas and coming home in the dark with deer activity is too risky. So for the rest of winter, I relegated to strictly daylight riding. I'm looking forward to Spring....

I hear you about the deer. I often ride in the National Forest less than 15 minutes away, and have to be especially watchful, since there's no hunting permitted in this 33,000 acre area, and deer are everywhere.
