Arrow exhaust questions

So I'm considering picking up a few bits and pieces at my local dealer here soon (tach, seat, cowl, mirrors) and am considering picking up an arrow exhaust as well to knock a lot of the parts I want off the list but have a couple questions

First of all, does the higher price include the dealer remap of the efi for it? I see that they include jets for carbs but there is no mention aside from the mention that it needs redone.

Secondly, would everything be ok to ride before the remap, not saying I'd be taking it out and banging through the gears, but I have my first service approaching and would figure I'd throw the exhaust on right before I head into the dealership and have them update the software during the service, rather than have the dealer install everything and save on the labor

When I bought Arrow 2 into 2 I had the dealer install them and there was no separate charge for remapping. I can't speak to the issue of riding without remapping. Probably wouldn't harm anything for a short time but the bike may not run well.

I installed my own 2:2 Arrow at the house and then rode the bike to the dealership, 45 miles away, for them to do the remap. Dealer said it wouldn't be a problem as long as you aren't hammering on it.
Wow the bike is better after the exhaust and remap.

Installed the Arrow 2-1 on mine, rode to the dealership 6 miles away for flash, $25, bike ran weird for months with fuel smell and decel popping, 15k in miles, went to another dealership and they hooked it up to find the Flash was not installed, so they did it for free... Needless to say I don't go to the 1st service area any longer.

I'm super happy with the 2:2 I installed on my Thruxton. Not a difficult DYI install and with a minimal investment in an OBD 2 cable and some research you can do the remap as well. I have very limited skills as a mechanic and with instructions and patience I got it right on the first try.

The weight savings on the Arrows is substantial. I was shocked with how much the OEM pipes weighed.

Another feature is the removable baffles. I'm not a fan of loud bikes but to each his own.

The only drawback is if you want a center stand, you're out of luck. Not enough clearance. I binned mine. In hindsight, it was a heavy chunk of iron anyways. Now just using a small scissor lift for maintenance.

I added the Arrow 2-into-1 pipe on a Scrambler, and the Arrow 2-into-1 pipe on a new Bonneville SE. Removed the baffle each time. Had to pay the dealership around $25 to remap the ignition to prevent infrequent exhaust popping when rolling off the throttle and slowing. Both time I rode the two bikes to the dealership to have the ignition remapped. Doesn't hurt it. If you take the extra step and have the dealership remove the stock arbor and install the K&N air filters (sold through British Customs), then you'll have a fire breathing racer.
