Let me clarify a bit after a couple of months of mostly ignoring Mare's clear notice....... First it applies to ALL members, not just new members, so the old timers here have no license to ignore it.
"Rides" includes all gatherings, get togethers, lunches, coffee breaks, hook ups, events, bike shows, dealer open houses, ANY and all gatherings for whatever reason. A couple of folks have been a bit legalistic and determined that just because they were getting together and traveling in the same direction at the same time to some cafe in the mountains for lunch it was not a "ride." That dog won't hunt.
So post your announcements in Rides/Events. If you want to post a link here in THO back to that I have no objection to that. NO links will be allowed in either of the two tech oriented Forums relating to Triumph Twins, however. If you post a one sentence link here in THO we can close the thread and leave the link.
I know that you post these things here because many don't look at the Rides/Events forum. I suggest you start doing so, there are some neat things going on that you are missing.
If you are actually confused about what should be posted where, send me a PM. If you just don't like the system, well, try to learn to live with it because it isn't going to change any time soon.
